SWORN TRANSLATIONS

A sworn translation the translation of a document done by a sworn translator-interpreter appointed by the Foreign Languages Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and authorised by this body to translate public and private documents.
According to the Rules of this Office, any documents produced by the sworn translator-interpreter should have his/her stamp and signature, which publicly certify the content of the document and accuracy and exactness of the translation. In this manner, the original document (in the foreign language), accompanied by the sworn translation, may be presented before the Administration or private entities that may require it. In order for it to be accepted by public administrations or other entities abroad, we recommend consulting the Administration or entity that will receive the documentation beforehand.
